Closing line value (CLV) is the gap between the price you bet and the price at game time. If you took +150 and it closed at +130, you beat the close — your number was sharper than the market's final read. Over a large sample, consistent positive CLV is the strongest single predictor of long-term profit, more reliable than your win rate, because win rate is noisy over small samples and CLV measures whether you're actually finding value.
Win rate alone is misleading — betting heavy favorites can show a 70% win rate while losing money, and betting underdogs can show 40% while printing. What matters is return on investment: profit divided by total staked. This tracker computes it on every settled bet so you see whether your bankroll is actually growing, not just how often you're right.
Serious bettors think in units — a unit is a fixed fraction of bankroll (often 1%), which normalizes results regardless of bankroll size and keeps stake discipline honest. Switch the toggle at the top to view everything in units instead of dollars. One unit is treated as 1.00; enter stakes in units and the whole ledger recalculates.
Your bets are saved in your own browser using local storage — nothing is sent to any server, and no account is required. The data stays on the device you entered it on. Use the Backup button to export a JSON file you can save or move to another device, and Restore to load it back.
CLV compares the odds you got to the closing odds (the final price before the event starts). Beating the closing line consistently means you're finding value the market hadn't priced yet — the clearest sign of a winning bettor over time. Enter the closing odds on each bet and this tracker calculates your CLV automatically.

A unit is a fixed bet size — usually 1% of your bankroll — that keeps your staking consistent. Tracking in units instead of dollars lets you compare performance over time even as your bankroll changes, and it's how most professional bettors measure results. Toggle between the two at the top of the page.
For a win, profit is your stake times the decimal payout minus the stake. For a loss, it's the negative of your stake. Pushes return zero. The tracker converts American odds to the correct payout automatically, so you just enter the price you got.
